Benefits of acai berry supplements?

I went to Whole Foods today and decided to try out Acai berry supplements (vegetarian vcaps). I would like to know exactly what this is good for other than having up to 30 times more antioxidant activity than red wine. I also purchased a colon cleanse that I am planning on using this week while I am off from work and school.
