Has anyone tried a colon cleanse?

I’ve been interested in a colon cleanse for some time now. I’m pretty healthy and in my early twenties, but I eat a lot of junk food. I’ve done research on it and looked at what can be inside you after years of not being careful with food intake, and I’ve seen good reviews on colon cleanse products on sites like Amazon. My doctor does not trust colon cleanses, but I’m still interested based on what my research has shown me. Has anyone done a colon cleanse? I’d like to hear about any good or bad experiences, and which product you used.

Personally, I have so little faith in Western doctors – in my experiences, I’ve found that most of them don’t believe in cures that don’t involve expensive prescription medicines, even if there’s existing research that natural and alternative cures work as well, if not better.
