A question about colon cleansing and detox?

Why are so many people sceptic about colon detox when it has helped so many people with their health? In recent years the Western world has developed some bad eating habits. The caveman would eat things like meat, fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts……all natural healthy foods. But in recent decades the Western world eats things like milk, gluten, dairy products, fish and chips, pizza, fatty fried foods, chocolate, ice cream etc!
